Bloke clearly has ZERO interest in playing for West Ham anymore.
Like with BFS, I would like to thank him for his contribution but it's time we went our separate ways.

Sorry Kev!

Don't think he was allowed Vexed having been hooked after about 55 mins! That at least is an improvement on Allardyce who usually waited until about 80!

Sad isn't it. But if we were on 50K a week with an agent advising us we'd probably do the same.
Afterall West Ham is just his job, not his passion.
It only really ends with Bilic saying get rid, Sullivan saying "here's 50% for a freebie", and Nolan having the desire to still play football and find that other half of his wages or close to it at a lower level.
Alternatively, he might just do a Maiga!

Nolan is the voice of the players. He's been popular too by all accounts. Just dropping him without giving him a decent chance could have got him talking to the players about how he didn't deserve to get dropped....
Do it gradually and keep everyone on side. PDC went about Sunderland with an axe and ended up with his own head being chopped...

What i want to know is though, if we can all see it, why can't Bilic?

Re: Nolan

He isn't physically up to it anymore, and he knows it. This is affecting the amount of effort he puts in.
As well as that, he knows he isn't gifted enough technically to compensate for his lack of mobility, so this affects the effort he puts in also imo.
He seems like a player who knows his time is up. He desperately needs a new club. But he'll just stay here collecting his £50,000 pw for just turning up and training.

Don't be silly, you won't loose the dressing room.
You may lose it, but you'll never loose it.

That was probably the worst display I've ever seen from a professional footballer last night Playing against part timers and he clearly wouldn't get anywhere near their first team Any real bloke with the slightest bit of pride about themselves would be embarrassed to continue to take money from their employer for that level of work

What Willtell says.
You can't just go in there with a scyth and cut out players just like that. Especially Nolan. You'll loose the dressing room. Bilic is being diplomatic and its a risk sure but a calculated one at present. It will be gradual but he'll go.

I called it 2 years ago that playing him was a hindrance to the team because his legs were shot, and one of the heavy mob on here told me that was my opinion because I was a know nothing cunt.
You've even got people on this thread near the beginning saying that he has something to offer still, absolutely MIND BOGGLING

Re: Nolan

Allardyce's football as we are well aware didn't rely on talent or true footballing capability. It relied mostly on strong physical runners, and targeting set pieces with large bodies for scrappy goals.
It was basically kick for touch/deep throws, aim to win back possession, launch it into the box and hope to cause some chaos with an aggressive approach...hence reliance on likes of Carroll and Nolan.
It used to be tongue in cheek about bypassing the midfield, but that reality is becoming evident now.
Our new approach relies on having two excellent positional passing footballers behind 3 visionary/creative players. Those 2 players need to gobhunting possession from the keeper/centrebacks, and to set us off and running, while being a safety net if play breaks down with the fullbacks high up the pitch supporting attack.
We have half of one of those in Noble. Poyet could get there. Kouyate is a great player, but I've doubts about his distribution/positional play for the role. It's why Song is such a key signing. Whoever plays there needs to be very intelligent footballing wise, very comfortable on the ball, and give good discipline. For me, Carrick would be ideal.
Current personnel as shown by these games just doesn't have the capability to fill the roles of the formation and style.

It annoys the fuck out of me knowing that Nolan won't play much this season and will still be coining 50k a week. Where's his fucking ambition, surely he knows his time is up and this is no longer his level. He has an agent, use him! Get him to arrange a deal for a move back up north with one of the Championship teams!

No mate, of course not, it's surprising we managed to stay in the Prem with some of them !
I think it took the pain of seeing these last 2 games to realise how bad the vast majority of that team is
